Our mission is to provide an inclusive, developmentally based program that fosters a child’s social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development, focusing on interactive play.
At Aldrich, our teachers use The Creative Curriculum for Preschool as a springboard for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate experiences to encourage growth within these four key areas. We use The Creative Curriculum Developmental Continuum to follow each child’s progress. When the content of the curriculum is taught with the children’s developmental stages in mind, children are more likely to be successful learners who feel excited and challenged by what they are learning.
Aldrich is proud to offer a shortened session for the youngest learners at Aldrich! Children that are 2 by September 1st of the current school year are invited to attend our 2 year old program. This shorter session is designed to better align with developmental norms for this age group and offers a gentler transition to develop independence from a primary caregiver. Children of this age thrive in environments with shorter, yet predictable activities while avoiding the exhaustion that a longer session could present.

Lessons and activities at Aldrich focus on building confidence and skills which are social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and academic in nature. As your three year old progresses through the school year, notice how many new skills they develop and encourage them to try new things.

All students at Aldrich will be encouraged to work toward regulating their own emotions and behaviors. This includes managing their feelings, following limits and expectations, and taking care of their own needs appropriately. The independence and confidence gained is especially important for students as they enter kindergarten.

Does your child LOVE playing outside?! Outdoor play is an integral part of any day at Aldrich. Our Outdoor Adventures Enrichment program will provide even MORE opportunity to be outside and exploring the elements in all types of weather.
Extension opportunities give children more time to play at school while allowing their families more flexible drop-off and pick-up times. These opportunities are available for children enrolled in our 3 or 4-5 year old program.
Monthly rates are based on the number of days attended per week. If space is available, drop-in spots may also be reserved on a per-use basis.
7:30 - 8:30a.m.
Early Bird gives families an earlier drop-off option. Children in our 3- and 4-year-old programs can come as early as 7:30 a.m. Children enrolled in Early Bird will be in Playroom 2 enjoying a relaxed atmosphere and time to prepare for their preschool session. Children may pack a breakfast, or a small snack will be offered to children without a packed breakfast.
11:05 a.m. - 12:15p.m.
Lunch Bunch gives children age 3 and older the opportunity to have extra time to socialize with new friends and eat lunch at school. Lunch Bunch is offered daily between sessions, which allows both the morning and afternoon children to extend their day. Children need to bring their own lunches.
3:00 - 5:00p.m.
Kids Club extends the afternoon session for parents who may need a more convenient pick-up time. At Kids Club, children enjoy time in our Outdoor Classroom and Playroom 2, open-ended art projects, a group story time, reading books, and a snack. Because the children already had a full afternoon session of school, the pace is more relaxed in Kids Club.
